Do you dare to take decisions?

As a manager you are often faced with decisions to take, small ones and big ones. Even though the foundation and the input data might mean a weak decision has to be made. For some decisions intuition and experience will be sufficient, for others more thought and analysis are required. In order to take a difficult decision you need to know yourself and your preferred style. You also need to know your values so decision can be grounded in who you are. There are a couple of pitfalls to be aware of: One is to put too much trust in the first information you get. Another is being stressed. When your thoughts are all mixed up it can be good to use a tool to sort them out. The Force field analysis is one of them.
